Knoll was set up in 1938 by husband and wife Hans and Florence Knoll to create designs that inspire, evolve and endure.  For more than 70 years Knoll has been recognised worldwide as being at the forefront of modern design working with renowned names such as Mies van der Rohe, Eero Saarinen and Harry Bertoia. Over 30 of Knoll’s classic designs are included in the permanent collections of museums around the world and the company is credited with being the first to produce the iconic Barcelona© Chair, first designed in 1929. Most recently Knoll UK opened its showroom in the heart of London’s design district, Clerkenwell. Designed by Piero Lissoni, the space allows visitors to view the full KnollStudio and System collections under one roof.
