Costa is the UK’s largest and fastest-growing coffee shop brand with over 2000
stores, 1350 in the UK and a further 650 internationally. Costa Express self-serve
coffee bars are fundamentally different from typical hot drink vending machines
because they use fresh milk and fresh coffee beans, provided by the Costa Roastery
in London.
Following Whitbread’s takeover of Coffee Nation in March 2011, the new Costa
Express self-serve vending machine concept has been rolled out (from June 2011) to
widespread positive consumer feedback and commercial success.
