The Pudding Mill Lane Pumping Station is the collection centre of the new 1.8k long sewer network that runs underneath the Olympic Park. The Pumping Station features bright pink filtration tanks and 19th century engineering drawings embossed onto concrete panels. The 12m high lantern topping the ventilation shaft is illuminated at night to produce a local landmark.
After the Games the Pumping Station will continue to serve the Olympic Park and the surrounding area.
