Central Park Bridge is a key element of the Park infrastructure, connecting the Olympic Stadium and the Aquatics Centre over the River Lea. The Bridge consists of two permanent steel footbridges connected by a small walkway, creating a Z shaped structure across the river. During the Games the bridge is expanded by two large temporary rubber platforms to cope with the large numbers of people. The colourful rubber infill, made of recycled tennis balls, is inspired by the colours of the London Games logo.
